POWER DISTRIBUTION FRAME

Power Distribution Frame is a -48V / 320A system earthed to positive used to supply telecommunication equipment with direct current. The system is intended for use in applications where a power plant with low ohmic distribution supplies power to transient sensitive equipments, such as electronic telecom equipments. It limits the current during short circuit at any of the distributed outputs. If a short circuit occurs at any of the output, the voltage at all other outputs will remain unchanged i.e. within the specified limit.

ISOALTION TRANSFORMER

 

All transformers provide isolation. They are generally constructed with a primary and secondary winding closely wrapped about the same magnetic core.

Transformers have capacitance from a winding to any nearby Conductor, such as other winding, the wire and the chassis. Thus they can couple high frequency signals and noise to these near by conductors. This capacitive coupling mechanism can carry high frequency noise from the input primary to the output secondary winding or vice versa. Isolation transformers minimize this capacitive coupling.

Capacitive Coupling is minimized by specialized construction and use of shields. Shields usually increase the capacitance coupling between primary and secondary if the shield is not connected to the appropriate place. The technique lies in connecting the shields at a place where noise is diverted to harmless place. Isolation levels upto 120 dB can be provided.

SMPS POWER PLANT 48V/3X50A  

INTRODUCTION

The power plant ensures the uninterrupted supply of DC current to DC equipment when batteries are connected to it. The rectifier modules are designed to convert the sinusoidal alternating current from the primary mains supply into direct current and to deliver it to the equipment and, in parallel, to the batteries. Batteries connected to the power plant stores energy in order to be able to deliver it back to the equipment in case of primary mains supply become unavailable.
